In addition to his collaborative work, Mat has also performed as a solo pianist. In July of 2022, he performed two concertos with the Vidin Sinfonietta in Bulgaria - making his first international debut as a concert pianist. He also won Utah Valley University’s Student Solo Competition in 2021, and performed as a solo pianist with the Utah Valley University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Cheung Chau.
